THE HISTORY OF CRUX ANSATA

FROM MILAN'S LEGACY TO GLOBAL INNOVATION

Founded in 1881 in Milan by Sotteri and Lanzi. Evolving through time, CRUX ANSATA restructured in 1932 as ESSEPI SOTTERI & PROSPERO S.A., headquartered in Affori, Milan, under the leadership of Cesare De Vecchi, later succeeded by his son Mario. Operations and labs relocated to Cormano. Dr. Dressler became a shareholder and legal representative in 1972, with Maria Pia De Vecchi and her son Luca continuing as third and fourthgeneration heirs.

CRUX ANSATA, formerly ESSEPI, stood as Italy’s sole pioneer in microencapsulation technology, serving global multinationals in food and pharma. ESSEPI also partnered in pharmaceutical ventures such as MASTERTASTE.
